Student Volunteer (Intern) is an open continuous vacancy in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. Students interested in applying for the Summer 2023 internship must submit their application package by April 28, 2023 Students interested in applying for the Fall 2023 internship must submit their application package by July 31, 2023; Applicants for the Spring 2024 internship are required to submit application packages by December 4, 2023.

Qualifications
- Applicants are required to submit academic transcripts demonstrating eligibility requirements.

HUD Student Volunteer (Intern) Duties
- The applicant’s duties as a student intern will depend on the Head and Program Office (PO).
- HUD is currently accepting applications from progressive thinkers who are looking for an opportunity to collaborate on new ideas and tools to support the programs HUD provides to the nation.
- The selected candidate will work with HUD as a student volunteer (intern) and will be placed in one of HUD’s POs based on office work and the student’s major, skill set, and interest.
Requirements Conditions of Employment
- The age of the applicant must be at least 16 years.
- Must be enrolled at least part-time in an accredited educational institution.
- Must be in good standing as a current student during the internship.
- If the applicant is a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have received an exemption from registration with the Selective Service System.
- You must be able to successfully pass the background check.
How will applicants be evaluated?
- Applicants for Student Volunteer (Intern) jobs will be evaluated based on how well they meet the above qualifications.
