Duties

As an Information Technology Specialist with the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the DC Pretrial Services Agency, the applicant’s responsibilities include the following:

  • Expertly installs, maintains, supports, and upgrades the agency’s databases and data warehouses, as well as their associated architecture and environment.
  • Perform Extract Translation and Load (ETL) processes, cube design, integration, and maintenance while ensuring compliance with technical standards.
  • Design and manage state-of-the-art prototyping and production d ata warehouse information with data modeling, normalization, loading, and data visualization.
  • Defining data flows means translating user requirements into data design and creating drill-down analysis for decision support. Maintain data dictionaries and enforce data standards.
  • Provides daily monitoring of the data warehouse, manages user accounts and resources, and ensures security and data integrity.
  • Develop and implement complex queries, tables, and indexes and perform daily maintenance procedures including backup and restore operations.
  • Conduct special studies and projects using agency data and potentially lead cross-functional teams to address new data requests.
